LudiKear is a participatory installation that explores the interaction between light, movement, play, art, and technology.
Using the flashlight feature on their cell phones, the audience discovers how DVDs diffract light and generate fleeting chromatic spectra that transform with the movement of the body in space. The experience expands through QR codes that lead to a treasure hunt: clues scattered throughout the installation reveal keys to unlock three sets of digital puzzles, comprising 57 original works I created and designed to be played on the audience’s own cell phones. LudiKear thus brings together three interconnected components: the DVDs, the QR codes as thresholds between the tangible and the digital, and the interactive puzzles. An invitation to explore, discover, and play.
